Election Tribunal Decleares PDP Candidate in State House of Assembly Election

EDO State  Petitions Tribunal for April election,  in the weekend, in Benin City,  the court declared   Gallant Sylvanus Peter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the April election in Estako West II constituency of the state House .

In their judgment the presiding judge, Justice E. Abuua annexed his decision that Peter’s closest rival in the election, Yakubu, was not legal   qualify as a candidate of his  party, the All Progressives Congress, APC

 The winner Gallantly  left the court in tears of joy. Reacting to the decision of the court, the state party chairman of the PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, said the decision was a proof that the PDP was in charge of the state. Chief Orbih said the wind of change showed that Governor Oshiomhole was now being represented by a PDP lawmaker, adding that the judgment had kept the hope of Edo people  flying

A Comment from one of the party chieftain of the PDP from Edo North, Mr. Jarret Tenebe, while reacting to decision of the court, described it as a  sign for democracy and the state Governor Adams Oshiomhole who is not a good man. “he added that he expect the APC to congratulate them, even if they will challenge the judgement at the appeal
     He annexed that the decision of the former President should be a case study and a lesson to everyone.
